The Mental Health Services program at Catalyst Clinical Group (CCG) is proud to offer practicum and internship opportunities for student trainees. Our program includes: completing licensure and institutional requirements for the successful completion of a training year, procedures for clinical work, ethical standards, the security and appearance of our offices, and a brief outline of the group's structure.

Training Position: Clinical Intern (2-4 positions available)
Eligible Candidates: Second-year graduate students attending social work or counseling programs
Position Description: Advanced graduate students gain experience providing individual psychotherapy services for clients from a wide range of racial, ethnic, and social backgrounds. Most clientele identify as LGBTQIA+, but this is not necessary for individuals to receive services. Interns accepted into the program generally have a familiarity and interest in working with these populations, but are not expected to have specific expertise or clinical experience.
Position Cycle & Duration: Annual placement, 10 months, 18-22 hours per week, hybrid model (virtual and in-person appointments)
Placement Dates: August 2026 to June 2027
Schedule: Students have a great deal of flexibility in creating their internship schedule. Client hours, documentation, supervision, team meetings, and other non-direct hours will amount to the expected18-22 hours per week. Trainees are required to include one evening and/or Saturday hours in their schedule. They are also required to attend virtual team meetings on Wednesdays from 11:00am-1:00pm. This includes one hour of training followed by one hour of group consultation with the entire team. Students may revise their schedules each semester or quarter, as needed.
Supervision Structure: Interns meet with their primary supervisor (a fully licensed clinician) for a minimum of one hour of individual supervision per week.
